Port Kembla Copper engaged with Virotec for the treatment, transport and Disposal of Heavy Metal Contaminated filter cake. Virotec provided a complete regulated waste treatment service for this project, the scope covered the following items:
- On site treatment by Virotec Treatment Team.
- Supply treatment reagents
- Treatment to landfill acceptance criteria.
- Transportation to landfill and EPA waste tracking paperwork
- Disposal to EPA licenced regulated waste landfill
- NATA certified analysis.
- Treatment report upon completion.
To date, Virotec has successfully treated on-site 250 Tonnes of contaminated filter cake.
