Virotec’s ViroFlow™ technology enables the successful sustainable transformation for processing and manufacturing industries. MetalLock™ Superfine - Locks Away Heavy Metals
MetalLock™ reagent is designed immobilise heavy metals, from industrial wastewaters and immobilise heavy metals in waste soilds and sludges.
MegaLock™ Superfine - Treats Acid and locks away Heavy Metals
MegaLock™ reagent is designed to treat highly acidic waters (pH<4.6-6) whilst immobilising heavy metals, from industrial wastewaters and immobilise heavy metals in waste soilds and sludges. Unlike conventional alkaline treatments, MegaLock™ reagent properties include high acid neutralising capacity and binds up to 99.9% of heavy metal contaminants. MegaLock™ has a positive carbon footprint, is insoluble and remains in place and does not catalyse pyrite decomposition.
ViroBlend™ Reagent designed to remove phosphate from industrial wastewater and immobilise phoshate in sludges.
ViroBond™ Reagent designed to remove CCA from runoff, wastewater and leachate ponds at timber preservation plants and immobilise CCA in waste solids, sludges and contaminated soil.
ViroBond™ - Treats Copper Chrome Arsenic
Just like James, ViroBond™ works by strategically forming strong chemical bonds with Copper, Chrome and Arsenate (CCA) ions in leachate ponds or sediment. ViroBond™ is designed to remove CCA from runoff, wastewater and leachate ponds at timber preservation plants and immobilise CCA in waste solids, sludges and contaminated soil. ViroBond™ reagent effectively immobilises heavy metals into an insoluble, non-reactive solid allowing reclassification of contaminated solids or hazardous sludges. ViroBond™ reagent produces the best available treatment strategy for CCA leachates ponds, stormwater drains and contaminated solids and soil.
ViroFresh™ - Eliminates the Stink!
ViroFresh™ destroys objectionable odours from industrial wastewater and processes. The growing importance placed on odour control from sewage treatment plants, industrial plants, paper pulp mills, tanneries and farming has led to governments and local councils enforcing stricter regulatory controls on odour emissions. ViroFresh™ reagent utilises six different odour reduction mechanisms to eliminate stinky water situations!

MegaLock™ - Treats Acid and locks away Heavy Metals
Virotec has developed its MegaLock™ reagents to treat Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS) and marine clays, bind heavy metals, enhance nutrient retention capacity, and promote grass, plant and tree growth. The methods used to achieve this allow in-situ remediation and the reagent can be added to the soil profile using dry powdered, water soluble or slurried forms of the reagent depending on which form is most convenient and appropriate for each site. In most cases after application of MegaLock™ reagent treated soils and wastes can be used to create a rich substrate for plant growth safe in the knowledge that immobilised metals cannot be translocated into adjoining non-polluted environments or taken up by plants.
ViroLock™ - For the treatment of PFAS/PFOS
Reagent designed to immobilise PFAS/PFOS in soils and sludges. Virotec’s patented and unique ViroLock™. Reagent has the ability to reduce PFAS and leachable metals in soils, sediments and water by > 99% in one single stage application.

A soil additive used in agriculture, providing pH buffering and essential trace elements to promote plant growth. ViroGrow™ not only neutralises acidity, it incorporates essential plant nutrients, such as potassium, nitrogen, phosphate, calcium and magnesium trace elements. ViroGrow™reagent also binds toxic metals, including aluminum, copper and manganese, from affected soils. ViroGrow™ can successfully be used as an additive in biological fertilisers improving horticultural properties.

Our ViroFlow™ Black technology was developed and tested in conjunction with the assistance of two Queensland Municipal Councils and delivers outstanding results, including substantial odour reduction minimising local impacts from sewage treatment facilitates and reduced residence time in the final clarifier allowing existing plants to significantly increase capacity without substantial increase in capital expenditure. Economically achieving a removal of up to 99.99% of phosphorous.
